Life at KITS

Anti-Ragging Policy
Ragging is totally prohibited on the campus and severe action will be taken on those involving in Ragging as per A.P.Ragging (Prevention) Act
Hostel Life
The KITS has two separate hostels for boys and girls located at distance of 4 Kms from each other. Each hostel building has capacity of accommodating more then 150 students. The hostel is neatly maintained nutritious and delicious food is served. Meditation classes are also held regularly. There are separate rooms for students so that their attention and concentration on the study does not deviate. The hostel maintenance is clear and hygienic in condition.
Students Counseling
One-to-One Focus is ensured on Students progress in Academics & other allied fields through Students Counseling. All the students are divided into batches of about 20 and each batch is allotted to a faculty member, who will be the Student Counselor. The Student Counselor reviews the progress of the students on a continual basis, interacts with the students and takes their feedback on their difficulties with respect to studies. Furhter, the students are offered useful suggestion and counseling. The feedback is reviewed by the department Head and the students problems/ difficulties are sorted out immediately, in consultation with the Principal and Management.
Class Representatives’ Meetings
A meeting of the Class Representatives is conducted by the Principal on a regular basis, which is attended by the Heads of all Departments. Important programs and forthcoming events are explained to the Class Representatives. The Class Representatives interact with the students of their class and they are given the opportunity to express their difficulties and problems in the C.R.s Meeting. The issues raised by the C.R.s are sorted out immediately in consultation with the Management if necessary.
Students feedback
Feedback is collected from each and every student by the Principal through Feedback forms once or twice in a Semester. Students give their impartial feedback without fear as it is totally anonymous, on various issues such as teaching by the faculty, library, transport and other infrastructural facilities and even offer suggestions. The student’s feedback is reviewed by the Principal and pertinent issues are promptly attended to.
Suggestions & Complaints Box
Students can report their problems/ difficulties anonymously and also offer their suggestions through the Suggestion & Complaints box, which is operated directly by the Principal.
Progress Reports
Progress of Students is reported to the Parents at regular intervals through various means such as Phone calls, SMS system and Progress Reports.
Discipline
Un-compromised discipline. Students attend College with Uniform. Mobile phones are prohibited from the campus
